Role Description:

Bloom Collective is growing - and we're looking for a calm, reliable, and hands-on Events Assistant/2IC to help us bring each market to life.

We’re open to evolving this role - whether that’s leading future events or being more deeply involved in the brand. While there are no guarantees, if you’re someone with big vision and strong follow-through, we’re open to dreaming and building together.

Ideal Candidate:

This is a casual contract role, ideal for someone with previous hospitality or event experience who thrives in fast-paced, people-centric environments and knows how to get stuck in but also understands brand relationships and partnerships.

You’ll work closely with our event manager and core team, helping with set-up, pack-down, and making sure everything flows smoothly on the day. From assisting vendors and spotting issues before they become problems, you’ll be part of the magic behind the scenes.

The candidate should ideally have prior experience in hospitality or events, such as working in larger cafes, weddings, catering, waitressing, festivals, or concerts. A hands-on approach and readiness to handle the physical demands of event management are essential.

• A love for good food ;)

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist with pack-in and pack-down of stalls and infrastructure

• Support stallholders where needed (customer service, logistics, troubleshooting)

• Operate a stall or entry point if required

• Assist with waste management and keeping the site tidy

• Help with customer queries and event guidance

• Stay alert to health & safety hazards at all times

• Capture social media content for stories and reels (optional but awesome)

• Collaborate with event management and brand ambassadors on the ground

Hours of Work:

Saturdays from approximately midday to 9pm, with occasional additional hours as needed. Specific dates for Bloom Collective are as follows. Please only apply if you can attend these dates:

• 11th October 2025

• 8th November (Xmas market - requires longer hours)

• 13th December

• 10th January 2026

• 14th February 

• 14th March

• 11th April (Easter Market)

Compensation:

Pay will be dependent on experience and will be processed in accordance with New Zealand employment standards.
